In 2001, Lindsay Jameson, having just graduated from college, was presented with an opportunity to purchase and operate a small dance studio, fulfilling a dream she’d had since she was a young girl. All That Dance subsequently opened in a one room dance studio at 230 E. Main Street in Galesburg.  The curriculum included tap, jazz, ballet and pointe and focused on students as young as three years old through high school, with adult classes and more styles of dance being added later.

The business operated for 18 years at this original location, growing the number of students from less than 90 to well over 200 per year.  This growth prompted a move to the current location at 555 Kellogg Street in 2019.  This new studio offers three dance rooms which are being utilized to offer many more classes.  A class in acrobatics was implemented in 2023.  

At the end of each year, a recital is presented to showcase the talents of all the students.  The students love to perform on the ‘big stage’ for their families and it is always the event of the year.

All That Dance persevered through the pandemic with the staff bravely conducting classes via Zoom and YouTube and even presented the annual recital using a live stream for a remote audience!

Since its inception, ATD has educated well over 2000 young students, many of whom have gone on to perform at the college level as well as professionally.  

Having been in business for over twenty years, ATD has recently started enrolling the young children of dancers that studied at the studio many years ago.  This serves as a testament to the quality of the dance instruction being offered as well as the lifetime relationships that are formed.

All That Dance is very proud of its history and accomplishments and looks forward to many more successful years in Galesburg.
