RECITAL 2026: Saturday, May 30th
1:00pm and 6:00pm
Galesburg High School Auditorium
Doors open at 12:30pm and 5:30pm respectively
The 1:00pm show will feature preschool through 2nd grade classes, opening, staff and specialty dances.
The 6:00pm show will feature 3rd grade through HS classes, opening, finale, staff and specialty dances.
FIREWORKS: Sunday, May 31st

Thursday, April 9th (by 7:30pm): Recital shirt pre-orders due
(form at the studio, payable to ATD)
extra shirts will be ordered and available for purchase
Thursday, May 7th (by 7:30pm): Recital flower orders due
(form at the studio, payable to ATD)
extra bouquets will be ordered and for sale at the recital
Thursday, May 7th (by 7:30pm): Picture orders & payments due
(payable to Dickerson’s Photography, drop off at ATD)
PLEASE do not wait and turn these in at pictures. We need them ahead of time!
May 18th – 21st: last week of classes (and our spirit week!)
(there are no classes held May 25th-29th)
Saturday, May 30th: Recital video orders due
(form at the studio and at the show, payable to JC Studios)
Per our policies & curriculum:
There is an annual recital in May or June in which each class performs. We order each class a costume for this performance (therefore, if your child is enrolled in 2 classes, he/she will have 2 costumes) Students are not required to purchase these costumes nor are they required to perform in the recital. However, performance in the recital requires purchase of a costume. All costumes will range in price from $50-$95 each. Costumes WILL be ordered during Thanksgiving & Winter Break and a $30 deposit is due to ensure costumes are ordered. **PLEASE NOTE: THE COSTUME DEPOSIT IS NO-REFUNDABLE** Payment for all costumes is due on or before January 31st. Any comments or concerns with this, please let Miss Lindsay know.

Our recitals are successful because of our cooperative ATD students and families and our generous volunteers. (and although we have a select few who always show up we could definitely use more!)

Make your voice heard!
While we are thrilled to be back at GHS in 2024, we have had to increase our ticket prices to the recital due to the nearly triple rental fees we are being charged by District #205. We have reached out to the Board to voice our opinions but need your help as well. Please reach out to the Board or attend any of their meetings to show your support for us and other entities in the community who are being forced to pay significantly higher prices making it nearly impossible to afford to utilize their newly renovated space. We want to support the District but if they aren’t willing to reduce their fees to make it more affordable, we will be forced to find other venues for future recitals.
For 2024: The facility rental fee (not counting the required custodial fee, supervisor fee or technical director fee) that we are being charged is now $300/hour versus $75/hour in years past.
